Throught Štamberk to the Roštejn Castle

The ruins of the castle above Řásná are the remains of the original castle built at the end of the 13th century. The small Štamberk Castle using a rugged rocky rotundity was destroyed during the Hussite wars in 15th century. Seven kilometers further north Roštejn Castle guards the road from Telč to Pelhřimov. The border castle was built by the lords of Hradec in the first half of the 14th century. Castle name refers to the German title Rosenstein means rose stone.
